What you download is your business. Here’s exactly what the app and this site do — and don’t — collect.

The Blip app
The app logs nothing about what you download. No URLs, no video titles, no usage history — none of it is recorded or sent anywhere. What you download stays on your Mac.
The app makes only two kinds of outbound network calls, and neither carries your activity:
- License validation — to confirm your purchase with our licensing provider, Keygen.
- Update checks — to see whether a new version of Blip is available (via Sparkle).
Your license key is stored locally in your Mac’s Keychain. There is no in-app analytics or telemetry.

The marketing site uses privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic and improve the pages. Where required, these load only after you consent via the cookie banner. We do not sell your data.
- Aggregate analytics (e.g. page views, referrers) — consent-gated where applicable.
- If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you provide, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
Cookies
Right now, this site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. When our analytics launch, they will be consent-gated: nothing in the table below loads unless you accept it via the cookie banner, and you’ll be able to change your mind anytime via a “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

Strictly necessary cookies (the Paddle row) are required for checkout to work and don’t need consent. The Blip app itself sets no cookies — see “The Blip app” above.
Payments
Purchases are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle collects the billing details needed to complete your order and handle tax. We never see or store your full card number. See Paddle’s own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@blipvideo.com and we’ll help. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights under local law.
